It seems to be a big trend with toy companies these days to put out loads of low articulation, low sculpt quality figures and call them retro style. Pegs are practically bursting with them from various companies.
Some are just straight up rereleasing decades old action figures, but you're gonna pay the same price you would for a modern one.
How about this? We'll give you a new figure, but you're gonna pay $5 extra because it's on retro style packaging.
I know there's people who like it, otherwise they wouldn't sell, but to me it just feels lazy. It's a way for toy companies to churn out a low effort figure. It doesn't matter if the sculpt or paint are up to snuff because they can just call it retro and be done.
